The number of World War II Veterans still gracing our earth is dwindling every year. They fought hard and served our country with the highest regard. My Father, Fred Selzer, was one of these brave men.
My Dad served before I was born and I only wish I could remember more about what he told me about his service in the Army during World War II. After WWII began my Dad expected to be drafted quickly. When he was not, he felt the urge to serve and enlisted in the Army. Like so many men at that time in our history he was proud to enlist and serve to protect his country.
